How to calculate Overwatch eDPI
eDPI = mouse DPI × Overwatch sensitivity. Enter both above and the calculator also shows your cm/360: how far you move the mouse to turn a full circle in Overwatch 2.
Where to find your Overwatch sensitivity
In Overwatch 2, open Options → Controls → Mouse and find Sensitivity. You can also set per-hero sensitivity in each hero’s controls.
Check your mouse’s DPI in its software (or measure it with the mouse DPI test if you’re not sure the label is accurate).
What’s a typical Overwatch eDPI?
Overwatch uses a small turn per sensitivity step, so the numbers are big. Many players sit roughly between 2400 and 6400 eDPI (800 DPI × 3–8). Hitscan players often go lower for precision, and tank and support players sometimes higher.
The bar under the results shows where your setting falls compared with that range. Being outside it isn’t wrong. It’s just a useful reference point if your aim feels too twitchy or too slow.
Converting to and from Overwatch
Overwatch sensitivity ≈ CS2 sensitivity × 3.33 at the same DPI. Overwatch and many Call of Duty titles share a yaw of 0.0066, so the numbers carry over 1:1 with default settings.
For exact numbers between any two games (including a DPI change), use the sensitivity converter.
Overwatch sensitivity tips
- Use per-hero sensitivity sparingly. Different settings for every hero make muscle memory harder to build.
- Projectile heroes and tracking heroes may want slightly different settings, which is what per-hero sensitivity is good for.
- Relative aim sensitivity while zoomed has its own percentage for scoped heroes.
Once your sensitivity is set, build consistency with the aim trainer.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good Overwatch 2 eDPI?
Many players use roughly 2400–6400, for example 800 DPI × 3–8.
How do I convert CS2 sensitivity to Overwatch?
Multiply your CS2 sensitivity by about 3.33 at the same DPI. 1.5 in CS2 ≈ 5.0 in Overwatch.
