How to play Coreball
- Watch the core spin, then tap. Your first tap fires the first pin, so wait for a gap at the bottom.
- Each pin flies straight up and sticks into the core where it lands.
- The core keeps spinning, carrying the pins already stuck in it.
- If a new pin touches another pin, you crash and the level restarts.
- Place every pin in the queue (the numbered balls at the bottom) to clear the level and unlock the next one.
Use the arrows above the game to replay any level you’ve unlocked.
How the levels get harder
| Levels | What changes |
|---|---|
| 1–7 | More pins on the core and more to place every few levels, and the spin speeds up |
| 8–14 | The core reverses direction every few seconds |
| 15+ | The spin speed surges and slows as well as reversing |
| All | Spin direction alternates between levels. Up to 23 pins on the core at once |
Tips for clearing hard levels
- Watch the bottom, not the core. Every pin lands at the bottom of the core (the 6 o’clock position). Only watch whether a gap is passing that point.
- Fire just after a pin passes. The safest moment is right after a pin sweeps through 6 o’clock, when the biggest gap is arriving.
- Fill big gaps first. Early in a level the gaps are wide. Spreading your first pins evenly keeps later shots possible.
- On reversing levels, wait for the turn. Right after the core changes direction it moves predictably. Count the rhythm and fire on the beat.
- Don’t spam. Pins in flight still land where the core is when they arrive, and two quick shots usually land too close together.
- Take a breath after a crash. Each retry starts the level fresh, so there’s no penalty for pausing.
Why it’s a good timing trainer
Coreball is about clicking at the right time, not clicking fast. You judge a moving gap and commit to a precise moment, the same skill used for timing hits in games and rhythm games. Pair it with the reaction time test to train raw reflexes, or the CPS game when you want pure speed.
